It might be due to a variety of technical reasons why your Canon mx490 printer is not responding. It might be anything as simple as too much printing work on the printer, or it could be a more complicated technical problem. To fix the issue, unplug the printer's cord from the computer and reconnect it after 2-3 minutes. Connect the printer to the computer using a USB connection on the PC.
